  • ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA PICNICS

    Our Purpose

    In between our larger national family reunions, the NorCal chapter gathers in order to strengthen our family bonds, share vital updates, and celebrate our shared history.

    What to Expect

    Our annual gatherings offer a fun-filled day in the sun for all generations, featuring:

    • Great food and fellowship
    • Games and activities for adults and kids
    • Important updates to prepare for the national reunion

  • When and Where

    The 2026 Goree California Picnic be on Saturday, August 15th in Lodi at Micke Grove Regional Park (11793 Micke Grove Rd., Lodi, California)

  • Join us at the California Picnic!

    Cost:

    • $25 for Adults and Teens age 15 & up
    • $12.50 for Youth age 8 - 14
    • Free for kids age 7 and under

    Payment: Use whichever payment method below is easiest for you. Please note that for online payments, you may see the name Victor Alexander (aka Leon) associated with the Goree Family account.

    Volunteer Opportunities

    We welcome volunteers to help with various tasks and activities during the picnic. Whether its helping to cook and/or serve food, facilitating games and activities, set-up/clean-up, etc., your assistance will be greatly appreciated and needed!
